Should I experiment with pushing Tri-X?

If you're experimenting anyway, try these two combos to see which one you prefer:

1) Tri-X @1250 or 1600 in XTOL

OR

2) TMY @1600 in Microphen

Both combos yield nice results - it's really a personal preference.

And yet elsewhere I have read Rodinal stand development 1:100 descried as a "lazy man's" way out. Just saying . . . I like Rodinal so I may try.

Super shot! I don't know enough (yet) about the technics of development (and exposure for that matter), but I know what I want in terms of looks. Grain is good, depending on subject matter, i.e. if you want a rough surface. No, I don't think your shot is particularly grainy. Anyway, I really like it.

I am thinking about pushing Tri-X to 1600 in order to shoot interiors (churches) with a slow lens--CV 15/4.5. Develop in D76.

I have shot Tri-X @ISO 1600 with no problems - it is certainly capable of producing great results @1600. As others have noted, developer choice is more of an issue than if you are shooting @400.

Do your research regarding developers and you will have good results; there are several good suggestions here in this thread.
