I do not think that the 21mm Avenon lens is from 1961.
they are a fairly recent creation.

OK Heres what I do.
First, close your eyes.
Then slowly bend over and put your head between your legs, supporting your temple area carefully with your hands.
The kiss your ass goodbye because if your wife is like mine, you are history, buddy!
Seriously, my wife is pretty good and this only feeds my habit. Where is lensaholics anonymous when you need it?

One day, I will have "lots of money to spend", and then I will buy such a lens and camera.

New to the Rangefinder Game
Hi All,
I am brand new to the rangefinder game. I just got a Canonet G-III QL17 a week ago. It was a whirlwind courtship. I first found out about the Canonets while looking up a different rangefinder that I had read about in magazine. The next thing I know, I had bid on and won the camera. The test roll is in the camera and we'll see what developes.

"Flim? You want flim?"
I've got an L1 coming from David Murphy--Whoopee! If anybody needs a Model P or two, PM me.

I had to look up "L1" as I've never heard of it before. Damn! Now I have to add it to my "wanted" list. It's a beautiful camera. Good luck. What do they usually go for? Where would one find it?

The small print of the aperture numbers on the Canon 7 (even worse on the 7S) are a frustration of these cameras for those of us over 50, with the expected level of presbyopia.
