I kept trying to sell the damn thing but it never worked out. Now I'm rather in love with the camera and lens

My Canon P setup. Attached is a 35mm/1.8 lens and on the side 50mm/1.4 and 100mm/3.5. A also have a few of Canon metal film cartridges.

What was your intension to have it?
(I mean, rather to have it than a useful, reputated lens like the 50/1.4)?

I think if it's 50mm, tooffy will be interested. He seems to have a soft spot for focal lengths between 40 and 50mm. :D

Honestly, I think this lens is not spectacular in performance for the price it commands. It's more of it's rarity that resulted in collectors propping up the price. Not the most common of Canon RF lens to locate and the cheaper Canon 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.8 easily out performs it.

Cheers,

There you are, my spokeman! Thanks benny!:)
I have a soft spot for the 50mm. Just got one more from a fellow RFFer here a few hours ago.:D
Price/Performance ratio aside. I think the Canon50mmf2.2 is really not bad at all.
