Hi All,
I am brand new to the site and just wanted to post pic of the QL17 I acquired today. Sorry for the lousy picture. I took it on my iPhone as I was just to excited to start posting on this site to pull out the DSLR tonight.

What a lovely collection! Some pretty rare gear amongst your stash! I've never seen a boxed rapidwinder in the US$200 range though. You must have been very lucky.

My father was stationed in Japan during the Korean war. He bought a lot of camera equipment at the PX while there. After he passed away, some of it was sold off at yard sales, but I lobbied for the Canon equipment to be kept.

After 10+ years, my mom finally brought it out to where I live, and another year later, I finally decided to put it out in a display case and start looking at it. I also added a 100mm F3.5 lens to round out the collection.

I have lots of questions, and looking forward to answers/advice from this forum.

The camera and all the lenses save for the 50/1.8 have the <EP> mark.

I also have a set of Kenko (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue) filters for the 85mm or 135mm lenses, which should be 48mm, yet they are marked Ø50. The UV's on those two were also Kenko's, marked the same way. Kenko must have coded their filters back then by outer diameter, not screw size.

I've been buying cases for the lenses, and made one for the 28mm, as I can't find one. The 50mm doesn't have one either, although it would normally be on the camera in the case that way.
 
dbm--I have a couple of Kodak filters for Retina marked 60mm that have 58mm threads.
I also have a Kenko filter marked 45.4 that has 43mm threads. The markings are the exact overall diameter. I don't think it took them too long to realize they should use the thread size rather than maximum diameter size designation.

After following this forum (and offcourse this specific thread) for quite a while I decided to join myself.

My name is Menno van Werkhoven, I'm from the Netherlands and a camera enthousiast. I earned my money during my university years bij selling camera's and being Canon-specialist at the biggest camerashop in Europe. I collect (and use) all sorts off Canon gear. My to-go camera is a Canon 110 ED :cool:, which is in my suitcase every day when I go to work.

I'm pretty proud off my Canon RF collection (took quite a while to get it as complete as it is now):

From right to left: Canon LTM 135mm f3.5, Canon 7sZ with Canon 50mm f0.95 (both completely overhauled by the top specialist in the Netherlands), Canon LTM 35 f2 and finally a Canon LTM 85 1.8. All lenses are matching black versions :p

I really like this shooting setup. Had the 7sZ for over two years now, and I'm using my Canon F1 setup and this pretty RF almost exclusively nowadays. Digital Canon stuff stays at home more and more..

Now this is quite a set to use, especially the 50 and the 85mm. The 85mm f/1.8 LTM is not so easy to find nowadays.

Yes to that I ran out of $$ at 888$ 0n eBay It sold for 898 May 7th 2011:( No case but both caps and finder. However I did get a very nice Canon P from Maiku in Japan.It came last week,sweet:)
