I would like a P someday, maybe even a beater. But the idea that people are sticking their fingers in the shutters and wrinkling them, has me concerned about getting a good one.

Have to laugh, My mother would stick her finger into the shutter on her Canon T50 .I was able to fix it twice but gave up the third time .She finally went digital.

As for the P I got If it has a wrinkle It must be real small because my old eyes can't see one :)

Hey Benny,
What's next? The 25mm F3.5, I already have two finders for it, thanks to Conrad Yao and Johann.

The 100mm F2 came from Maiku in Japan, and I love that one. I sold my 90mm F2 V1 Summicron recently, this lens beats that one, I think.

So what's next Dan? Perhaps a bottom loader to match the 100mm f/3.5 LTM? You've really built up quite an extensive collection in a short time!

Cheers,

I have the 19mm FL, which is identical optically to the RF coupled version of this lens. It is a wonderful lens, by the way. I still have the 35/2.8, 35/1.8, 35/1.5, 50/1.2, 50/1.5, 50/1.8, and the 85/1.5. The Canon 1.5 trio is great.

I sold or traded the Canon 28/3.5, 85/1.9 and 50/1.4. These were wonderful lenses, but I needed the cash to get other wonderful lenses.

The FL version of the 19mm F3.5 is similar to the 19mm F3.5 screwmount RF version, in most respects, and by adding the "Canon B Adapter" you can put it on a RF Canon or whatever.
Fabulous lens, I use mine fairly constantly. Wish it would fit on the Nex-3, unfortunately, the cell protrudes back too far, so it's a no-go on the Nex.

However, the screwmount version may be rangefinder coupled?? That to me is not a big deal at all, this is a scale-focus lens anyway. Could be important to somebody else? Maybe. They made a retrofocus version for their SLR's, that is not what I'm talking about.

Here's the bad boy mounted on my Canon 7:

Who said FL ? Not me : we're on a Canon RF thread... ;)

The first version of the FL 19mm is physically different from the RF coupled version. The RF coupled version is smaller but longer. Here is a picture of all 3, including the retrofocus version.

The RF version uses a 55mm filter, the Version 1 FL uses a 58mm filter. Also, whilst some says it is basically the same lens with a different housing/barrel, I do notice that the front lens element is different in terms of the curvature. Here is a picture to illustrate my point.

Anyway, here's one of the RF version mounted on a camera for visualization.

I have a copy of the 19mm FL-R but no finder. The price was under $200,how ever the front has a slight wobble like it needs to be tightened or some lube added .Has anyone encountered this?
