Just a "new" J-12 and J-9 directly from Ukraine for my Kiev-4AM. I have paid US$ 35 for both.

My newly acquired Zorki 4 (from Fedka), along with its stablemate Canon. Still working on a first trial roll of prints before I take some serious shots with it. Its a good looking camera! The Zorki, I mean... OK, the Canon too.

I've just bought my first FSU rangefinder a few weeks ago as I'm generally a 120 landscape shooter so never really got on with rangefinders before. I really like the styling of the Fed-1 with it's completely manual approach and split rangefinder/viewfinder windows. It's a totally different feeling to my other cameras and I'm really enjoying shooting with it.

After doing a CLA on both the body and lens (Industar 61 with solid grease!) I've just replaced the original vulcanite with a dark grey alcatara trim and printed a grip which is covered to match. I found the body a little too slim to hold comfortably along with the vulcanite so the new setup feels much more solid in my hand.

1955 Kiev II with '55 Jupiter 8 followed by '78 Kiev 4A with '81 Jupiter 8M.

I'm new here and this is my first post with pics. How do I attach images so that it is not neccessary to "Click to enlarge"?.....and bigger???

The 4A and its lens are each quite interesting in their own fashion.
The controls and baseplate latches of the body are in black lacquer. Most of the black paint 4A's I've seen have chrome controls etc.
According to the SovietCams site this version of Jupiter 8M was produced specifically for the Bulgarian market(!?) and only in 1981. It is very similar in appearance and construction to the Helios 103 but whereas the Helios has a maximum aperture of f1.8 this (being a Jupiter 8) is still an f2.

I usually prefer the Zorki 4, as I think the 4 is more reliable but this Zorki 4K is holding out pretty good, and it deserves to wear my favourite FSU lens, the fast Jupiter 3.

My Start, it is in quite good condition. The shutter is working on all speeds, lens, mirror and prism are clean.



I do not have a Start film casette, but a Kiev casette fits also.



Viewed side by side you see some similarities to the Nikon F.

Very nice work you did on the Fed. Welcome to the forum. Hope to see some photos taken with that kit.

To get a picture shown as the others are you need a website and then put in a link here to the photo.

For example, this is on my smugmug website and I can get a link to it which will open automatically here.

Very nice work you did on the Fed. Welcome to the forum. Hope to see some photos taken with that kit.

Thanks, I ran a test roll through it to make sure it was light tight and have just finished another roll that's waiting to be developed.

I've also just CLA'd a Yashica 14 so have got a roll in that at the moment which I'm looking forward to seeing the results from.

Just for your personal enjoyment... my new old Zorki 4K from 77. Nearly in brand new condition with an extra 50mm Jupiter 8 lens. The Zorki came from a local dealer here in Munich. The Lens from eBay. The focus from the lens was complete dry and stuck. I cleaned everything and lubricated with original Russian optics grease. Now ist runs very smooth! I cleaned the rangefinder optics the mirror, and o wonder.. no adjustments to the Rangefinder mech...

My M39 Zenits with lenses as "barnfind".

The Zenit 3 from 1962 with Mir-1 lens is my favorite, it is working fine, also the 3M from 1963 is in good condition.
The S needs CLA, The Revueflex = 3M from 1970 has a light leak and sticky shutter at 1/30s.
