It is much nicer to have a Hektor.
If I had an Anastigmat I would sell it right away.
Erik.
Erik,
That is exactly what I did. I spent the money on women and wine and wasted the rest.

Hi, I'm Rick and I'm a hoarder.

Not too bad. But you got doubles and triples. Just a small time hoarder in comparison to me. I can make two such rows...

And what am looking for? A post war conversion (or rebuild) of a black I into a Standard (or similar). Yes, I saw one once, it had a slow speed blanking plate.

Boy, I wish I had an Anastigmat. I want to do these things too.

Jo Geier sells one for a competitive price: http://www.jogeier.com/leitz-leica-procu-shutter-release-protection-cap.htmlThank you, yes, you are right. There is now one for sale at the Leica Shop in Vienna. It protects against inadvertently pressing the shutter button.

Should be tip top by April!
Sometimes work demands a blood tax, I happen to be overdue!
Yep. Been creeping up on my tax day too. Heal well.
Sweet Black Summitar! Who did the paint? Looks great!
Kanto. The chrome was pretty rough, but the glass is perfect. Must have had a filter on it from day one. Funny how much That combo looks like an X1. More svelte, but the collapsed Summitar is proportioned a lot like the X lens.

Should be able to run the film (ORWO UN-54) tomorrow.
Since you mentioned it......
I was looking for 100 ft rolls of ORWO UN-54 last week, and could not find any for sale through the ORWO north America site,( "out of stock"), or anywhere else for that matter. I have never tried it, so don't know what the normal availability is. Is it just available periodically, or is it just NLA/gone?

George seems to get the short rolls in smaller quantities than the 400 footers, or they just sell out quickly. Keep checking back to the site, they'll be back. He might be able to give you an ETA if you email him.
Lovely stuff in Perceptol 1:1!

Thanks, Bob. I will try that. I've seen some nice results with the film, to my eyes, and have recently made the jump into bulk loading in order to try some different things. Thanks for the processing tip as well, gives me a place to start.
