Love the form factor and especially love the looks. Now I have GAS for a chrome Standard 😱

Replica of Oskar Barnacks exposure tester camera (re. Vidom #50 “Die Mutter der UR Leica by Georg Mann), uR Leica Replica modified to working with Zeiss Kino Tessar (1911) Lens, an ordinary III.0

The FUN begins when the Replica UR Leica is converted into a working camera using either the Leitz 42mm micro Summar or (as on the pictured one, Barnacks Cine lens as was also used on his 35 mm all metal Cine Camera. >>>>>>> These UR Replicas assume a Whole New Life and Purpose as soon as you look at your first strip of negatives. It’s a Beautiful little camera!

I often see non-Leica Summars and Mikro-Summars on the auction sites and wonder about a 42mm version. I think Leitz were making camera lenses for microscope users, perhaps, from the turn of the last century or so.

Hi All.. just want to share my Leica iii 🙂
It's a 1933 Leica iii 109517 with chrome parts. I believe it was originally in nickel as the slow speed dial and the button to lock the bottom plate is in nickel. However, in its life span, it got replaced with the chrome part. did not affect to the shooting experience tho.. 🙂

The lens is 1937 uncoated sn. 361980
