Show off your Light Meter!

Soligor Digital Spot! I fairly recently was given one of these and it works very well and was particularly amusing when I last used it I was approached by an actual Hollywood cinematographer. He asked if that was a film camera and I said yes and this is a spot meter you know what that it is and he laughed like ".....,kid...".

Meters are fun.

Minolta Flashmeter III.
Purchased about 30-odd years ago and probably the best photogrsphic purchase I ever made.
I couldn't be bothered to post a photo of it, as it looks exactly like every other Flashmeter III ever made.

Here's my two that have been used since the mid and late 80's. The Minolta Spotmeter F is the most accurate meter I used for transparencies with flash with product photos, but the Gossen Lunasix F was quicker to use at weddings and offered incident as well as reflected. Both have proved very good investments. John Mc

I got this a few years back for a couple of pounds on a charity shop to use it with my Barnack Leica. It hasn't been used much actually since i mostly use AF SLRs....

The earliest unless you count the "Imperial".

It was surprisingly easy to get restored along with a few other old ones.

Some more lightmeters

Three on the right side are the ones I use. The two on the left are just kept as curiosities : the non-working Leningrad 2 is a beutiful object and the OPTEK is an ingenious creation

I only have these hand-held meters now. For years I was under Ansel's spell and had to have 1 degree spot meters. This is my third Pentax and it's superb. I bought the little Gossen Scout as a backup for the Pentax - $11 from KEH. It's accurate, agrees with the Pentax and my SLR inbuilt meters and doesn't use batteries. It only weighs a few grams and sits lightly in the pocket. The Pentax is now a backup for the Scout!
