Migtex,
About the film winder attachment on the S: can it ratchet or does it require a full circle turn to advance the film?

Mike
One (first Pic) is Nikon Variofocal 35-135, the second one is a Soviet made Kiev 28-135 (the only one with 28mm I could find).
Both have parallax compensation.
Hope it helps.
Accurarapid
Like SP9107 said, the Accurarapid Wind requires a full rotation clockwise. It's a great help with the S.

165 USD!! Ouch!

I have the Millennium Kit and I am always amazed how good the 50f1.4 is.
Have you done any side by side shots with the Millennium and the original Olympic lens? They are supposedly the same formula, but with the Millennium reaping the benefit of more modern coatings.

A very unpretty picture of my 3 Nikon SPs and the ~20 rolls of film I've put through them over the last 10 days.

How is the viewfinder-rangefinder patch on the S3 compared to the S2, RanceEric? About the same, better, worse?

They're about the same. I had them both sent to essex for cleaning and to be overhauled, but before I sent them to essex, the S3 was slightly clearer. I think the RF on the S2 was just dirty. Both are pretty sharp now, no de-silvering of the mirrors.

What's this funky lizard-style covering on the S2 instead of the indestructible original vinyle leatherette ?
