I'm new to the group and recently acquired a SP with 3.5cm f/2.5 and 10.5cm f/2.5. I'm a Nikon F-mount shooter from back in the film days, but this is my first RF.
That is a great setup, and hope to see you posting images here!
30 years ago- I picked up a Nikon S4 with the same lenses, overheard the salesman at a camera store tell an older gentleman that his camera was too old to be considered for a trade-in on an AF SLR. I traded him my Nikon AF SLR kit for it.

I finally got a chance to go out shooting with the SP. On the first day I used the 5cm/1.4. For a few reasons, I decided that I did not like that lens very much and returned it. To adjust the aperture, you have to either hold the lens with 2 hands or put it at infinity focus where it locks in place then it can be adjusted with one hand. I suppose if you are not shooting things close up, it’s not too bad, but that brings me to my other gripe. The focus scale on the camera (which are visible when using this lens) seemed to be wildly off compared to the viewfinder. At first, I assumed it was the viewfinder, but the focus seems more accurate with the 3.5cm and 10.5cm. I have not developed the roll yet, so this is all speculation. I also decided that I like the 35mm focal length better.
As for the camera body, it seems to be functioning correctly, but I find focusing with the viewfinder to be difficult. When I look through it, I see a bright (yellowish) area in the center which seems to block out my subject and I have to move it slightly to focus before shooting.
I’ve been trying my hand at some street shots using zone focusing, and I must say the shutter is whisper quiet compared to my F1 and FM2n.
I hope to get the test roll developed soon.

If you set the 50/1.4 or other lens that uses the internal mount: setting to infinity lets the "infinity lock" hold the lens still. Use this mainly for removing the lens, but it will also work for setting the aperture. Once the film is back- you may discover the Rangefinder needs adjustment. Best to test at infinity, and at closest focus.

I just got that yesterday but turns out it’s broken. The post the rides in the spiral groove to raise & lower the lens is gone. I’d fix it if I could find the part but no luck so I’ll probably return it.
