Show off your TLR!

Just received my Yashica A in the mail. Definitely another user-class camera, but optics look relatively good and the controls are much smoother than my Rolleicord III. I know triplet lenses aren't much desired, but I can't wait to run a few rolls through this thing - a few cheap Shanghai GP3 rolls are on the way.

The "A" that I have is very sharp in the centre getting softer to the sides . The most difficult part for me with the "A" is getting into a system with the film wind on and shutter so as to avoid double exposures or wasting film , something I don't have with my Rolliecord. Otherwise a fine camera.

Painted Yellow Rolleicord. The camera is not mine, it is a friends.

Oh, no. He worked as a photographer for the Daily Express in Scotland.

Here's another picture showing the whole team

It's quite ironic seeing this and reading in other threads about newspapers getting rid of their entire staff photographers....

It's also very interesting to see that during this period the TLR appears to be king,. I certainly can't see many (any ?) 35mm cameras in evidence, be they Leica's or SLR's....

This is a Rolleiflex 3.5 F that I bought about 20 years ago. I don't use it much since I bought my DSLR.
Does anyone know what the bar on the size of the camera is for?

DaveO--The two pieces at the top and bottom with the slots look almost exactly like the brackets for the side strap on a 4X5 Pacemaker Graphic. I believe they could also be used to mount a Graphic flash. I have no idea what the flat metal up the side of the camera is about.

When I see all those beauties, I feel like buying another one. (Have sold my copies some time ago!)
