Haven't shot much in the last few months. Nice to go out again:

Not particularly recent, but recently scanned. I was having a hard time with the XPan, but it might be time to give it another go. Hopefully I can keep the horizon level this time around.

After the truly excellent work from chandler_chou, these seem insubstantial.
All from Burning Man 2013. You'll have to excuse the colors - the film was accidentally soaked in a mix of water and alkali dust. All film is 50 velvia and the camera is the xpan w/ 45mm

These are fantastic! I'm always worried about dust getting into my camera and scratching my lens. How did you overcome that?

Shot with a simple-hacked Zeiss-Ikon box Tengor from 1937. On cheap Kodacolor 200 Asa film. Should have used more duct tape on the red window in the camera...

Sun Gazer:
I was wasting film to shoot yet another sunset because I need to finish off the roll so I can process the earlier photos, then a bunch of beer drinking people came by to watch the sunset and one of them climbed over rocks and jumped over water to the big rock. I managed to snap off a few shots before he fell down, - no wait, just kidding.

"Richard" could you tell me a bit more about this sun gazer photo ? Peter

Hi Peter, lets see, it's Astia 100. The camera was on a tripod, probably F16, may be even F22. I just use the auto-exposure for this one, probably about 1/4 secs? Really not much more to say. The XPan lens are incredible that even shooting straight into the Sun, the veiling flare is not too bad.

Thanks Chandler. The Xpans 90mm is a wonderful and very sharp lens (and the least expensive for the system), but I'm not using it that often. I'm planning to do some street photography with it, because even though it's just a 50mm (in pan.), you still 'think' panoramic and look for different scenes with it.
