Brilliant camera - i think a better use camera than the XD-11.

Pan, I agree!
I have a couple of X-570s that I really like, and the winder is a great enhancement to the cameras. It winds the film, it adds gripping surface, and it adds balance with heavier lenses, such as my favorite 85mm f1.7. Also, unlike the motor drive, it doesn't impede access to the AEL button.

IMO this is what the K1000 dreams to be when it matures!Pentax KX + SMC Pentax 50/f1.4
I picked up this KX for the lens, shot it for a couple of rolls and then passed it on. Lovely bit of kit! IMO one of the best bodies around for an affordable mechanical 'do everything' SLR.

Mine seems fine. Here's hoping it stays that way.
What is interesting is there are so many posts online saying the ISO dial is stuck. Cannot move. Jammed.
Well, so was mine. Then I read the owner's manual. The exp compensation has to be at 0 then it moves very easily and freely! It is easy to slightly knock it off zero so I have a feeling that is what most people are experiencing, and so think the dial is jammed.
It's not that it has to be set at zero, it's you can't over/under expose past the min/max iso of the camera.
Ie at 800ISO you can only under expose by one stop with exposure comp, at 1600ISO you can't underexpose at all

One of the first 35mm pentaprism SLR in the World, the Zenit-1, and the one that most adapted the Leica II/III to the concept, in 1951. This one dates from 1955, but sadly is utterly jammed, with dirty patched curtains and the inner frame broken.
