I never in my wildest dreams ever expected to be able to afford one of these, but a work bonus coincided with the absolute bottoming out of prices in about 2012 and I found this one in great condition.I will never wear it out, that's for sure !

It's like new John!

I bought one new (in my old investment banking days) and totally failed to make good use of the superbness that it was. In the end I think I was going away to an Indian Island for some diving, and such was the weight limit I could either take that or a large volume (Nick Rodger's second volume on the history of the Royal Navy) and a Lumix with Leica glass. When I got back, I traded it in with the estimable Gray's of Westminster for a D70, which died long ago.

Hi Charles. It is indeed like new. The only mark on it is from a tripod on the bottom rubber. I bought an F100 also to keep it company and I have a bomb proof F90X as well. I love its stability when using low speeds. Surprisingly quiet as well. I used it on the maternity ward when my daughter was born for first baby pics. Very discrete for a big elephant in the room !

Thanks Charles. Very kind of you. I think the metering espescially is what makes it one of the best cameras I have used.

pity it is jammed, looking through its mirror is kind of magic and it reminds me the feeling of using a 6x6 glass.

One of the first 35mm pentaprism SLR in the World, the Zenit-1, and the one that most adapted the Leica II/III to the concept, in 1951. This one dates from 1955, but sadly is utterly jammed, with dirty patched curtains and the inner frame broken.

My OM-2n. More power efficient, slightly brighter viewfinder, less buttons to press accidenty. And tiny bit smaller.

Models A and B did not have an automatic-return mirror, although later B versions did. Following models all had the return mirror.
