I've just returned from a carboot sale, having landed a functional Olympus OM-1, complete with a 50mm f/1.4, 28mm f/2.8, two extension tubes (Olympus own), and a couple of b+w filters (blue and yellow).
The woman seemed cautious about telling me the selling price... "Erm... well... is five pounds ok?"
No haggling was done, £5 was handed over without further questions.

Four problems. One is, no rewind crank. Another is, the UV filter seems to be jammed on. Another, the light-trap has died. Finally, the pig-ugly bag that currently holds all the equipment.
Hopefully the filter can be removed. I'm sure I can pick a rewind crank up off Ebay. Light-trap... plenty of advice has been seen on this forum... thanks for that. The bag... that's going to mysteriously vanish.

I've been going super-wide with an Arsat 30/3.5 on my Salut-S.

Gordon:
Is the superwide providing fisheye effects? Just curious. I've been considering a 40 MM rollei, but the only ones I've seen are more than I wish to pay now.

The link has some Arsat 30 images. It's a full frame fisheye. Things get curvy although not as much, I think, as on my 17mm Pentax Super Takumer Fisheye. They go for $265 from Russia (with love) on eBay. I bought mine on eBay from a US seller for $157. Bargains can be had although even at $265 it's a bargain. Haven't got any film back yet. It's one big hunk of glass!

I assume it's a Hassalblad mount. Liked your images with it.

My new camera, a DSLR.
I borrowed a Pentax KX a while ago and i couldn't stop thinking "Wow! What a great camera" So the first thing after I borrowed it I went to nearest camera shop and bought me a Pentax, a new one: The Pentax K100D Super with the standard 18-55 lens. Not my favorite lens but I wish I could have the lens on the KX.
The Pentax KX had two SMC lenses, one 28mm and one 135mm and it was the 135mm I began to love. Must get me one of those later on!
Have ordered a Yashica 50mm f1.9 lens, I hope it will do better than my 18-55 lens.

larger than 35mm
Sorry, but may I ask carefully if the Yashica lens has Pentax K-mount ? As far as I know the lens was produced with Contax/Yashica mount which is not compatible to Pentax K-mount.My new camera, a DSLR.
Have orderd a Yashica 50mm f1.9 lense, I hope it will do better than my 18-55 lense.
Check it out before frustrated.

Definitly worth checking out. However, I believe the K100D has a proprietary mount and adapters are available, even in C/Y mount, or M42 if you lens is that. But I don't think so. I don't think they ever had a f/1.9 lens in M42 mount, only C/Y. Whichever, hope you enjoy your new camera and lenses.

But the lense has a Pentax Bayonet mount. Isnt that the Pentax K-Mount and not the 42mm?
And telling from the pictures it seems like it has 3 tabs that are also used on my AF lense.
Well se when I get it
