How about a SP w 50/1.1 + 35/1.8, 85/1.5 & lets throw in a 500/5 just because... for $683.03!!! but then I have to remember that the base price of a new 1961 Chevy Corvette Roadster was $3,934.00 and the average price of gas to put in it was $0.31 a gal. +/- 😎

I tried both the New F1 and the F1n and while I have to figure out why the 6V battery (which I took from a Hasselblad 2000) does not fit into the battery compartment of the New F1. (I think the battry is not long enought to make contact.)

The F1n seems to work well, only the switch of the meter had some problems with its contacts, but it looks as if it works right now.
My uncle told me that it had some problems with the flash contact, so I will grant it a CLA.

But first I will take the F1n with me for a trip to Hamburg (with 28/2.8 + 50/1.8 + 100/2.8) 🙂

I really like the shiny black of the F1n body. - More than the dull black of the New F1.

I have an AE-1 where the 4SR44 is tight to go in. I have no problem with my A-1s where the bottom contact is spring loaded. I think on my AE-1 this contact is stuck pushed out. Maybe your New F-1 has it stuck pushed in?

That's too bad. I loved the look of the Rollei SL66. I had a business rival that use one. I was SO jealous! We often shot the same industrial setting and he would set up for the shot, look at my (puny) Mamiya rig, sneer - then tilt his lens with an obvious aire of superiority, and shoot the better picture.

It drove me nuts: today I shoot a grunge style and eschew anything approaching corporate. I also have a couple of tilt lenses.
 
By the way, I'm carrying a Nikon N80 with a 35mm f/2 AF-D lens attached. It's light, dark and doesn't impinge much. I've got about 6 rolls shot with this combination saved up, but developing them is such a chore.
