Just received these two lovelies in the mail. Both appear to be working OK although the slow shutter speeds on one seem to be a veeeeerrrryyyy slow.

Can't wait to clean them up, replace the foams and start shooting!

A lovely one! Small and beautiful!

Hi,

Thanks, what gets to me is how similar it is to the so-called Leica clones. Here's another to show it's a bottom loader.

Somewhat over exposed to show the innards. And I love that little tab to stop it falling over.

Regards, David

What a relief! ;)
You mean the XE - it is the camera in between the SRT's and the XD-series. Never owned one, but read the same favourable reports.

This is a real xi camera, a Minolta 7xi in this case:

Sony A900 | Minolta 85G | f/2.8 | 1/25s | 320iso

No, Ah meant the xi lens. Had a loan of the XE for a month and that made me decide tae buy one. Superb engineering (like all Minolta cameras), of which I have 5. :)

The foam on the prism is prone to deterirate it at one stage. It's easy to remove the top cover and just remove that foam before it's too late.
