The shutter button on my M7 is sticking and will only release if I advance the film advance lever.
This has also happened to a friend of mine and Leica Service (Hong Kong) attributes this to the use of a soft release, specifically Tom's. They posit that a misalignment is caused when the soft release presses the shutter button at an angle when the camera is stored in a bag.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I've gotten used to using my M with a soft release and I really like Tom's. Will switching to another (smaller) type of soft release prevent this from happening again?
