Shutter of M and A

I used both the R4M and R3A before. I like the shutter of the M and think that the A is kinda light... if you know what I mean...

Just wondering if I am getting a R3M, will it have the same shutter as the R4M? THanks

Nope, I don't know what you mean. Not at all.

But I'm pretty sure they are the same shutter. (R3M R4M)

I think (but don't know for sure) that the "A" cameras with electronic shutter mechanisms might feel "lighter" than the "M" cameras which are all manual. Most probably a different mechanism to activate the shutter.

Oh - perhaps you mean the feel of the shutter release in operation? If so, now I get it.

Funny thing, I was in LE camera in NJ and I had a chance to try out about 6-7 Leica screwmount bodies - it was amazing how different they all felt with regards to the shutter release!
