IMO the Olympus cameras have "handling/Memu quirks" as well... but you learn to work with what you have. The promise of beautful rich foveon images really has my attention, even if I do have to shoot ISO 200 on a tripod.

I always thought they were getting the body from Nikon and adding their own sensor tech and digital path w/ the s series..

Gary you are correct.
I was thinking Kodak DCS which did have both Canon and Nikon lens mount versions.
But my original point still applies, Sigma could do exactly as Fuji did, imagine if they license the D700 body and put a full-frame Foveon sensor in it. I bet it'll turn some heads even in the pro-market.

Why not just make a Merrill type camera (APC) with a lens mount?
from us users perspective, this is precisely I hope they wont do. yet another proprietary lens mount, like we didn't have enough already :bang:
but the topic itself, I've never been big fan of m4/3's, but been using previous generation Sigma SD15 past autumn and really like the looks Foveon sensor is producing. could see myself investing to m4/3's, if Sigma was part of it and it didn't cost a million.
