Hi, I just won a G1 body on ebay, and I'm looking for a lens for the budget minded...can anyone make some suggestions?

Thanks!

Look around and you should find the 45/2 quite reasonably. The 90 is the absolute cheapest, but you can find a bargain grade 45 for only a little more. KEH has an EX one for $254 right now.

I got a Zeiss Planar 2/45 T* off Ebay for $150, here are some shots from the first roll, with Kodak Plus-X Pan 125.

Beyond a doubt the Contax G's and their lenses are the most under-valued 35mm photographic equipment in the world. It truly baffles me when a camera and lense system can stand toe to toe with the considered best of the best in 35mm image quality and sell for a fraction of the cost of the camera equipment it can challenge equally photo after photo.

I luv my G system and recommend them to anyone looking for the best 35mm images they can get. I have a fair number of cameras but I assure you the last camera system I would sell would be my Contax G system.

In bargain prices (ridiculously low priced IMO) the 28-45-and 90mm are all great. My favorite lense on the G is the 21mm for image quality.
