Framing takes a bit of getting used to on the xpan. After a year of using it, I'm still a little lost when it comes to shooting panoramics.

What do you consider a decent price for a nice used Mamiya 7 + 80mm?

Yeah, I hope my first roll turns out well.

I would say somewhere around $1.6k - $1.8k?

That sounds about the right price range. I'm working on a brand new 7ii +65mm for about $2500. Will probably go for that if it works out.

When you get the roll developed, make sure you tell the lab to be careful when snipping the negatives. I've had my pano frames cut in half by accident before.

Do you plan to scan them?

Hi guys,

Just found this site from one of Terence's post in another forum. Am new to rangefinders and glad I found this thread. Am learning something new every day.

Hope to see you at your exhibition, Terence! Am a great fan of your Calcutta Rescue series. Amazing!

Cheers!

Welcome Rebbot! Hope to see your RF work soon! :)

Hmmm thats a pretty nice price. Do keep me updated if you can get two sets for a better price? :D I have an offer for a 7 + 65mm at $2100 though.

Yup, probably pop by ruby for developing, you wanna scan them for me? :p

Sure, but gotta charge to recoup the cost of the scanner. Super hi-res scans up to 80mb per file.

Sure let me develop the roll first and see if its worth scanning. :) Will get back to you. Probably get a scanner myself if I end up scanning lots as well.

BTW keep me informed of the Mamiya 7 deal you have? ;)

Anybody here know where is a good place to learn B&W darkroom printing in Singapore?

Signed up for the SAFRA monochrome course and after postponing a few weeks due to poor response, they decided to cancel it. :(

Objectifs have one ongoing but is already halfway through. No plans in sight for a course next quarter.

PSS, I don't really like, and it is very ex for non-members.

*sigh* no one interested in traditional darkroom work anymore?

I don't even mind paying for some personal tutor if the price is not too high.

Why don't you get Justin to teach you? He seems to be extremely well versed in darkroom work.

I've emailed some of the pros I know, we'll see if they can offer any advice.

I'm about to send e-invites out for my opening on Jun 8. So far I've got the following on my list...

Alan Soon
David
Glen
Guan Leong (are you still at pacnet address?)
Justin
Peter

If anyone else would like one, please send me an email at rff@21frames.com

The show does run till the 18th so no worries if you can't make the 8th.

Cheerios!

Thanks Terence. If Justin is willing... but I'm only free on weekday evenings.

Yes, my email is still the pacnet one.

Are any of the RFF members going to the opening together?

Terence, congrats! I probably won't be able to make it on the 8th, but I'll try to drop by for your talk on the 11th.

Guan Leong, I've replied to your email. Weeknights are tricky for me, but I'll see what I can do.

Just sent out the invites, those on the earlier list I posted should have gotten it.

For the benefit of others, here's the link to the Month of Photography website.

http://www.phish-comms.com/mop06/index.shtml

The site does give additional background information about MoP as well as some further information about the exhibitors. Do note that there is a photography contest running in conjunction with MoP, the grand prize being an Epson R-D1s!

Will be posting a separate thread to help gain some additional publicity.

Hi Guys,
I'm new here. This is my first post and i'm glad i found this website. I'm actually looking to venture into the world of RF photography and i've made my mind on a M6TTL. Been looking around for a couple of days and nearly got myself scammed on Ebay. sad..sad.. Can anybody here advise me on where else can I find myself a black m6 in good condition? I'm a rather fussy person so I would prefer a mint condition set with full package (box. manual,etc..) .

Am I cutting down my chances by being too demanding? Hmmm... Thanks guys for reading my opening post.

Cheers,

IUWE

p.s. Oh, should any kind soul wanted to let go a M6 ttl , please contact me 9668 1533.

IUWE, welcome! I have a Minolta CLE for sale at the moment. If you're interested, contact me and I'll give you more details.

There are a couple of M6 TTLs floating around on CS at the moment. Finding a set with full packaging may not be the easiest thing to do.
