There are a couple of M6 TTLs floating around on CS at the moment. Finding a set with full packaging may not be the easiest thing to do.

Yes, realised that too. Probably end up with a non-black.
:(

Hmm.. on the topic of buying a used leica, I came across a couple of auctions on Ebay selling M6 or M7 with a little note by the side at a buy price of 1oooUS. Don't seems logical and rather fishy IMO.

Any take on that guys? ;)

If it's too good to be true, then it's really too good to be true.

Yes, I believe these auctions are scams. I send an email query to the seller and they actually replied dispite the fact that their auction have been closed by the site's security staff and the staff will send you an email with a caution on that seller . Geez!

Many thanks for those of you who've managed to come down for the show. My sincere thanks, it was great meeting the couple of you.

Thnak you Terence. It was good to see the prints & Singapore is always a breath of fresh air (figuratively & literally) after months of KL. Pity the space didn't allow more images to be shown, but I enjoyed those that were. When they come to choosing electives I'm going to try & persuade some of our clinical medic students to do a stint at Calcutta Rescue.

Glad to have discovered Bras Basah Complex too... now if only Riceball would open regular hours...

Cheers
David

Do let me know if you need any assistance with the project for your students, will be more than happy to help.

About Riceball... I paid the store a visit after last speaking about it with you. I've finally concluded why I've never really taken to the store. The prices are just way too high and the owner of the store just makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Can't quite put my finger on why but he just does.

Took a look at the Calcutta Rescue and HCB exhibitions yesterday. Both were spectacular. Congrats Terence! The photos were great, and the presentation was top-notch too.

By the way, if anyone is in the market for a darkroom easel, please let me know. I have a spare that I'd like to let go.

Thanks for popping by to visit Justin.

David, hope you manage to make it down last weekend safely to pick up your CLAed camera. I left the cap with Glen, I assume the 2 of you met up for a bit.

Thanks

I'll be making an order from Freestylephoto.biz at the end of next month. If anyone would like to tag along, please let me know by the 07/21.

Hello!

Hello!

Having heard of RFF from a friend, here I am and I say hello to one & all. :)

I must admit that I'm not used to the culture of online forums but will seek to assimilate as much as I can.

Cheers.

Hi Samad, welcome to RFF. The Singapore thread has been a little lifeless for a while, hope that changes soon.

Shoot a lot in Singapore?

Welcome to the club Samad! It has been rather quiet around here as I know quite a few of us are busy with new projects and I have 2000 negative scans that need editing! Hang around and by the way, what kind of photography do you indulge in?

Hi Terence, Peter.

I shoot in Singapore most of the time, since I rarely go out of the country. Photography is a hobby for me after getting hooked on it way back in 2002. When we have time, I usually shoot with Justin. Anything and everything that feels right for the shot, I'll capture it on film. hehe. I shoot black and white with my CL most of the time. On a personal note, I feel that shooting with the RF has a surprise element, compared to the SLR. I would say that I'm still exploring while having fun along the way!

hello All,
If you happen to be in KL on weds 11th October you may wish to go see a "Leica preview of new products at Hotel Boulevard, mid-valley" 1300-1700
(I'm quoting verbatim from a text message I got today from pro-dealer Raymond Tan of KL's Keat Camera)

Presumably these are Photokina unveiled products including the M8 & lenses. More details when/if I get them
Hope everyone is well

David

PS Applied Imaging have 50+ 36exp rolls of Neopan SS at RM9 per roll. Call +6 (03) 7727 5511

Thanks for the heads up David. I think there will be a similar event in Singapore as well though it looks like only a select group of Leica owners will be invited.

Hi all, I'll be ducking back to that part of the world for a couple of weeks, and am thinking of bringing my G2 and a couple of lenses. Just wondering. I go in/out a lot of a/c cars and buildings, and I've noticed in the past that my lenses and viewfinder fog up very frequently. What is the risk of the lens developing fungus at some later point from these frequent condensation episodes?

I try my best to keep the lenses stored (for the duration of my stay) in a tupperware box or bag with some silica gel, nothing sophisticated available like a dry box or a hydrometer, unfortunately...

Advice would be appreciated, I'd hate to have to deal with fungus issues esp when I regard some lenses as irreplaceable...

regards, Jin
