Hi guys

Just bought one of these on ebay.

Does anyone know if there's a leica square hood that'll fit the lens, as opposed to the vented round hood?

I'm sure I've seen a picture of one before.

I much prefer the look of square hoods, that' all...

Cheers

This is my version, by the way - is this a 'Type 2'?

If this is a the same screw fit version I bought on eBay it will look great on the lens but will cause vignetting on every corner of the photos. I had to crop all my images on the computer post scan, which took a while when you have 6 rolls of 36 images each! :-(

Are you using the LH-4 hood? That seems to be the one designed for the Color Skopar...

I have one of those Voightlander LH-4 hoods for my 35 PII but don't use it. Too bulky. Instead I bought a 39mm short hood with 46mm front cap from e-bay seller Heavystar. It fits perfect, does not vignette the corners and makes a tidy package. The LH-4 came with the lens when I bought it used.

Thanks guys I'm assuming the LH-4 won't vignette as it was designed for the lens (or vice versa) but really wanted to know if the bayonet fit of the hood was a VC special or if it was compatible with any other square shades.

Cheers

The Voigtlander lens hood clips on the lens. The Chinese copy I bought, which looks like the image, screws on and when used with the lens filter just gets in the way by a fraction.

Still, it looks cool on the lens :)

Yep cheers, the one supplied is an LH-4.

Any ideas RE my original question?

Cheers
