Shooter of Film...
Its home!
When we go places, he is always sitting in the driveway or sitting in front of the door waiting for us to return.
Chris,
Our last cat Max recognized the sound of our cars and would run home when he heard it...

I rarely see him out of our yard. When he's outside, he's always there. If I don't see him, I call his name and he'll usually slither out of one of the bushes or flower beds where he was hunting or hiding.

I have more pics to post soon!
Sneaky has been obsessed with my basement for the last week or so. He keeps wanting to go down there to snoop around, and goes to great lengths to sneak down there. I don't like him doing that because my basement is dirty, and he always comes back covered in dirt and cobwebs. If I catch him there and bring him back upstairs, he gets mad. I wonder if there's a mouse down in my basement??

Those are cool shots all day of Sneaky. I have a cat Sharky, 15 yrs, but he's well aware of a camera and hard to catch shots like you got of Sneaky.

I once had some bugs inside a plastic bag of red bean (guess they were packaged with the bug eggs on them already), inside a cupboard in the living room.
They went unnoticed except for neighbor's cat, who likes to visit us regularly.
If I only had understood his interest in the cupboard, I could have avoided a big panic emergency cleaning.
So, I guess you're right: if it's not a mouse, it is still something there.
Successful hunting to both of you!
Cheers,
sebastian

Nice shot Chris. That kitty has so much soul and personality. Great eye-contact!

He does have a great personality. He gets upset when I am taking pictures instead of paying attention to him. Last week, I was out early in the morning photographing some flowers in my yard that had raindrops on them.

Sneaky followed me around like a puppy, and finally he started acting sad, laying on his back trying to get my attention!

With cats, murder is a feature, not a bug!
Like you said, he is sneaky and he has shown me that he is very smart and manipulative. The bell would be a waste of money, he'd defeat it quickly."
This bell worked with my cat......
Only joking, I adore her. Still, she is hopeless as a hunter and possibly not even all that serious about it. If she sees a bird in the garden from inside the house she goes nuts and wants me to let her out. But it's all show. If she goes out she hides under a bush till the bird leaves of its own accord. In 7 years she has caught exactly two birds (one survived) and a mouse. The dead bird, I suspect, died of old age or a heart attack when she made a rush at it. Not a good batting average for a cat. If hunting were a cat sport she would be cut from the cat team. I am of course pleased with this as there is no actual "need" to hunt except to exercise her cat's instincts.

Sneaky is a much more skilled hunter. He's been prowling my basement a lot lately; he seems to think there's something down there. I hope there aren't mice, but he'll kill them if there are any!

Look what the cat brought home!
Cleaning up after the kill.
Look what I brought you, human!
Now let me inside and feed me!
I had mentioned that Sneaky had not brought home any kills for a couple of weeks now, so this morning I go out to find him sitting with this dead bird!

Well my cat just racked up another kill!
I was outside with him a few minutes ago (12:30am) when I saw a HUGE katydid on my garage door. It was the biggest I have ever seen, about 2 inches long!
Was going to go get my camera, when Sneaky jumped up and attacked it. He killed it, then ate it. I guess I won't be posting any photos of THAT interesting insect!

Haven't posted any photos of Sneaky in a while. Here are some from yesterday morning! He was in the kitchen hoping for MORE food (He already ate a bowl of canned food plus a large number of Temptations treats!).
The one where he is laying between my feet is the result of an unusual leg-rubbing technique. He'll put his head on one of my feet, then raise his body vertically, head down, and slide down my legs falling between them!

That is funny. Well cats ARE funny. I am convinced that they have a cute gene which they can turn on and off at will - and when it's off the vicious gene kicks in, in its place.
When mine wants attention she hides around a corner then rushes out when I walk down the corridor past her hiding place and bats me on the back of the legs with her paws then takes off at speed to her favorite rug where she plops onto the floor and rolls on her back hoping I will come and stroke her. Of course I always fall for it because it is so cute.
At night she normally sleeps on top of the bed but when its cold, she often wants to get under the bed blankets, so she taps me on the arm till I let her in. If I am too sleepy and ignore her she changes tactics and starts biting me gently on the arm till I relent. It always works and she gets her way. If she gets carried away and bites too hard she gets sent to the naughty corner so she is smart enough not to bite too hard - mostly. On the relatively rare occasion that she bites me hard enough to hurt or draw blood I yell at her to leave the room and she scoots. But 5 minutes later she is back being as sweet and cute as she can muster, confident that it will disarm me. (And it does).

Sneaky has never been mean to me, but I have seen him go from being very loving to me to instantly grabbing and murdering some small animal just for fun, then back to being sweet after it is dead. He's racked up quite the kill count.

Tonight Sneaky came in and ate, then slept next to his beloved cans of Fancy Feast and packs of kitty treats. He was annoyed that I was photographing him and demanded to go outside after I got this shot.
