Early 35mm Summilux

I agree with the last post, for the Canon 35/2. Primary problem is it's not common, and usually pricey.
The FSU 50/1.8's are normally an excellent lens. Same is true for the humble Canon 50/1.8. I prefer the chrome to the newer black, because I like the heft of the chrome lens. If you find a good one at the right price, a great choice if the Canon 50/1.5. As with the 35, it's not easy to find, and still pricey.
I usually carry a small kit, with a P and the 35/50 mentioned above. If I need a 2nd body, I'll add the 50/1.2, just in case I need the extra, and use it on a Canon 7s. I also have the 50/0.95, but not usually used except for theatre or night street work. Also, they are heavy, but do make effective, but expensive, weapons. if really needed. Actually cheap now, considering the hassle and expense of a decent H&K or such.

Reasonably priced LTM lenses? My picks (from my own bag, not my wishlist) are:
Canon 25/3.5
CV 28/3.5 or Canon 28/3.5
CV 35/2.5 or Canon 35/2.8
CV 50/2.5 or Canon 50/1.5 or Nikkor H.C 50/2
The Canon 50/1.8 is an outstanding lens for the money, but I have 9-10 50mm lenses 😱, so it doesn't get used much these days.
I've excluded the UC-Hexanon 35/2 on account of price.

The Canon 25/3.5 is my all-time favorite for snapshooting around the city. Set it at 5.6/ 250 and shoot w/ no focus or fuss. It's faster than any digital.

With my Canon RF's ( one L1, two 7 and a 7S) - my most used lens is the Canon 35f2. Nice and compact and very good. Second lens in LTM is the incomparable VC 28f3.5 - nothing better out there for size and image quality in bl/w.

Has to be the Zeiss 50mm f/1.5 C-Sonnar, I can use it on my M5 and Panasonic G1 (where it resides now)
Also I just sold my VC 25mm Snapshot, and VM 35mm f/1.4 SC... I did buy a VC 28mm f/1.9 Ultron ASPH. But the 50mm f/1.5 is still my favorite.

I shoot the canon 35 f2 on an m series camera ( named the poor mans summicron by some. )
It is really your preference for focal length that is the first decision , then what lens can I afford . If it is your only lens try for at least an f2 aperture as it is more flexible in all lighting situations .
