I'm not really into social networks but I know that facebook, google +, flickr, and ipernity require some sort of banner for your profile.
Anyone find this annoying? I'm not losing sleep over this but this trend has bothered me lately. Maybe, at the age of 25, I am getting old.

I don't know what ipernity may be, but none of the others _require_ a banner. Seems to be optional on flickr, and I can't even find a form where to install one on the others, so it is even more optional (maybe part of some non-default template) there...
