Soft Release Retention?

I just ordered a couple new soft releases for a couple M bodies. Now I have used them in the past but they always ended up disappearing. Can anyone suggest a technique which keeps them on the camera?

I am assuming something like Loctite is Verboten.

Not at all. I used loctite on mine and am still able to remove it but it won't fall out on it's own.

Just don't over-do applying the goop.

Hmmm.... never had the problem with Tom A.'s soft releases.

Did some research on Tom's thread and found the answer. Blue loctite or teflon tape seems to be ok.
