Any mini soft release from Tom will do. I love mine on my X-Pro1.
Yes, you do need a mini release for the X-Pro1...the large ones are too large and it makes it hard to use the on/off switch.

Just fyi, I quit using a softie on the xp1 for this reason. I use the neck strap wrapped around my wrist as a wrist strap quite a bit. When you are carrying the xp1 (I have a thumbs up), one of the best/most comfortable ways to hold it (for me at least) is to rest my index finder solidly on the shutter speed dial (which is pretty good since I often leave it in auto and that locks it and even at a setting, it is pretty solid)... The problem with the softie is that it is in the "finger path" to the shutter dial.
Just a thought...love softies on the other bodies.
