I'm very interested in buying the WCL-X100. One thing I wonder about is the distortion.
The good thing about the wide-angle converter is that everyone says it does not noticeably reduce image quality. Now, if I have to start shooting JPEGs to use the in-camera distortion correction, it seems as if it really does compromise image quality!
So I was wondering if there were any (free) options to easily correct this distortion.
I currently use Aperture + Silver Efex Pro.
Thanks.
PS. Any other comments on the converter welcome, or if anyone has one FS... let me know!

I think you can do it free with the silkypix version released by Fuji with the camera/converter.
Export to some other raw type of file and import in Aperture. It is a bit awkward but this is what I intend to do, as I have little hope Apple will release an update to automatically apply the correction for this lens.

Aha. Didn't know it'd be that easy, I'll have to take a closer look at the SilkyPix when I get the converter then! Thanks!
