Some new photos from Fort Wayne

Here's a more conventional view of the house I photographed Monday when I was trying out my Horizon camera.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas.

I always like to see your wonderful photos, Chris. I am sorry about your terrible health issues, and I wish you all the best for a good solid recovery. You have done very well with the color shots and thanks for posting these for us to see. Have a Merry Christmas! - jim

After eating lunch with my family at my parents house on Christmas Day, I walked around the neighborhood and photographed some of the Christmas decorations on the neighbors' houses.

Santa Claus and his two penguin 'elves' stand in front of the same house where I photographed the glowing Santa head in the window the week before. It is on Woodheath Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

My neighbors did the yard full of inflatables this year & every morning they would be all deflated because of the cold. Way too much work to inflate them every evening. If I were to decorate my house. I would go the traditional route. They are kind of neat to look at, especially from someone else perspective.

Here is the last of my photos of Kitchy Christmas decorations in Fort Wayne for 2014. I shot it on Christmas day, down the street from my parents house. I had actually photographed this same house on Christmas day last year, too. It looked the same, but this year they added a second snowman and a second polar bear!

I don't usually photograph flowers, but yesterday I was working with one of
my students at the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory in downtown Fort Wayne, so I shot a few photos of my own while we were there. I teach private photo lessons in Fort Wayne for both beginners and advanced photographers.

One of my nieces got married there a few years back right before Christmas. It's a splendid place to get some flower pics. Have to look out for the mixed lighting though.

Yesterday, we had rain almost all day. I was up late last night when I noticed that light fog had descended over my neighborhood in Fort Wayne, so I went out and photographed the landscape near my house. In this photograph, I am standing in the middle of Tyrone Road, looking north at around 2am.

Its a super-popular place for weddings, and a lot of couples go there to take wedding photos after the actual wedding takes place at church. There were three wedding groups there at the same time when I was there Friday!

Here's the third photo that I made in the rain and fog Saturday night at around 2am. This tree is in the back yard of one of my neighbors.

Yeah, not many takers on that seat, Chris. It's a lovely shot, though. We got bypassed by the storm again, so nothing to cover the ground when the Arctic blast comes through. The rotten stink bugs are already coming inside.

One of my basement's resident spiders has a web at the bottom of the stairs with several stinkbugs in it. Those things are EVERYWHERE here.

Chris, did you use a tripod for the street shots?
Really like them as they look like 2AM should look. Around here you'd see more drunk driver's I'm afraid.

I did use a tripod. The exposure times were very long. This one was 15 seconds at f16 with the camera (Canon 5DmkII) at ISO-400.
