Someone posted a video on FB of a person rigging voltage to a Trump sign. When someone runs up & grabs it they got a good jolt. This election is madness.
In this election, the Wolf and the Coyote are the candidates and the voters are the sheep. Which candidate do you think has our best interests at heart?

This pile of wood sat in front of an industrial building that burned down. It is on Division Street in Mishawaka, Indiana.
The sign on the wood, which is lumber salvaged from the building's ruins, says: "Free Firewood. Has Nails. So What."

Thank you for this slice of America Chris. I have seen this thread but never took time to open and look. My son recently drove my mom's car (she's 92 and we finally got her to stop driving) from NY to Washington State and his description of a few places were in line with what we see here. I've only looked at a couple pages here and look forward to more

I like that, fire wood from an actual fire.

With all the chatter about Politics now, its time once again to show my favorite political photograph. Tells you all you need to know about both candidates for the US Presidential election this year!
I made this one back in February, 2009. Its in the apartment complex I lived in at the time. I think it's funny that the vandal was politically aware enough to protest, but not smart enough to spell politicians correctly.
The dumpster was replaced with a shiny new one soon after I made this photograph.

This woman is protesting against the circumcision of male babies. Her sign asks: "How Dare You Cut His Penis." Her t-shirt says: "Boys are born perfect, too."
In most of the world, circumcision is only done by Jews and Muslims, because their religions require it. In the United States, it is done routinely to newborn babies, regardless of their parents' faith, unless the parents choose not to have it done.
The protest, organized by a group called "Bloodstained Men", was held at the cornet of Coldwater Road and Coliseum Boulevard in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Here is another photograph from the Bloodstain Men anti-circumcision protest that I photographed last Wednesday in Fort Wayne.
All of the men at the protest were wearing white clothes with a red bloodstain on their pants!

The clouds in the sky above this cornfield were incredible! It is rare to see the sky so completely filled with white fluffy clouds.
The field is on the south side of Pleasant Center Road, between Smith Road and Harber Road, just south of Fort Wayne International Airport in rural Allen County, Indiana.
I photographed them last Sunday afternoon.
This would look splendid printed large.

I found this car in the parking lot in front of the Half Price Books store on Coliseum Boulevard in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The sides of the car are covered in Bible verses, spelled out with individual letter stickers.
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" - Revelation 20:15.
"And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever." - Revelation 14:11
"There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." - Luke 14:28
"Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish." - Luke 13:3
"For all have sinned & come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23
I have always wondered if anyone is ever converted to evangelical Christianity by seeing things like this.

Small American flags adorn most of the tombstones at the Sparta Cemetery just outside the small town of Kimmell, Indiana.
Sparta Cemetery is on US-33, just south of Kimmell. It surrounds Sparta United Church of Christ on the east side of the highway; and it extends to a newer section on the west side of the road, where I made this photograph. Sparta was the town of Kimmell's original name.
I made this photograph last Friday evening.

Last Friday evening, I photographed this beautiful sunset over a cornfield on the west side of State Road 19, between County Road 26 and County Road 28, in rural Elkhart County, Indiana.

This sign nicely sums up the 2016 presidential election:
"Everybody sucks 2016. The US is doomed."
Never in the history of the United States have we had two candidates for the presidency who were less morally fit for the office.
The sign is posted in front of a house on Sprunger Avenue, just north of Spring Street, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I photographed it yesterday.

This house is on Widney Street in the small town of Saint Joe, Indiana. The sign in the front yard has a quote from the great American poet Robert Frost:
"Freedom Lies In Being Bold."

These patio chairs are stacked up under a tree behind a house on Widney Street in the small town of Saint Joe, Indiana. The green metal chairs are old, probably dating from the 1950s, while the ones on top are modern.
This is next door to the house with the Robert Frost sign in the yard.

This is something a little different from my usual work.
On the evening of October 7, 2016, I was driving on State Road 19, between Wakarusa and Elkhart, in rural Elkhart County, Indiana. Just south of US-20, I noticed that the clouds in the sky were forming interesting abstract patterns and shapes, and they were moving and changing rapidly. I made seventeen photographs of the clouds, looking west from State Road 19, in just nine minutes.

Continuing on, I got on US-20 and headed west toward Mishawaka. A few minutes after crossing into Saint Joseph County, I stopped again to photograph the clouds. By then, the last light of the day was fading quickly. I made three photographs of the clouds looking south and west from US-20, a couple miles east of Mishawaka.

Yesterday afternoon, when I saw this trailer piled with furniture, with a double-seat motel chair or tulip chair porch glider swing on top, I assumed it was an old one being thrown away.
That would have been a shame, as the old ones are quite rare.

Fortunately, this is a modern reproduction, and it was just being moved to a new house. The owners told me that they bought it at Walmart!
This was on Clinton Street, across the street from the used car lot that only sells white vans, in Fort wayne, Indiana. It was raining lightly when I stopped to photograph the glider.
