Hi Chris, really like this latest stuff from 4th of July. Did you shoot that digitally, or on film? Especially the night time stuff with the lights.

Digital with a Canon 5DmkII and 24-105mm f4L-IS canon lens. I could not have shot them on color film; there are no color films fast enough. I shot all the July 4 pictures at either ISO-3200 or ISO-6400!
The night stuff with the lights, are you meaning the stuff from the Three Rivers Festival? That was a week after the 4th of July, but it, too was shot with the Canon 5DmkII.

This is the Vertigo ride at the 2016 Elkhart County Fair in Goshen, Indiana.
The Vertigo is a tall tower with long spokes radiating out from the center. Riders sit in seats hanging from chains attached to the ends of the spokes. When it spins, the seats carrying the riders fly through the air as they are raised to the top of the tower.
This is similar to the Swing Carousels that I have photographed at other carnivals, but the Vertigo takes riders much higher into the air!

That's a great photo. That ferris wheel is a lot bigger then the one we had at the festival in Ft. Wayne! I've shot stuff like this in black and white using Tmax 3200 and Delta 3200 film with great results. Too bad no one makes a color film faster than 800 anymore.

This was shot on Delta 3200 at EI-1600.

This is the Freakout ride at the 2016 Elkhart County Fair in Goshen, Indiana.
Riders sit in a circular arrangement at the bottom of a long pendulum that swings back and forth, taking the riders so high that they're nearly upside down! While swinging, the structure where the riders sit also spins!
The Freakout is nearly identical to the Fire Ball, a ride that I have photographed at other carnivals. A lot of carnival rides were sold under different names by their manufacturers, and some were renamed by the carnivals that operated them.

Here is the second of three photos I made of The Freakout ride at the Elkhart County Fair last Sunday.

This mountain is part of the Republic Services landfill outside Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is on the north side of Yohne Road, just west of Smith Road in rural southwest Allen County.
There used to be a cornfield here, with a group of trees standing in it that I photographed many times over a period of nearly a decade.
The trees were bulldozed in 2009 so that the landfill, which was about half a mile north of here, could expand. It is where all of the trash from Fort Wayne, Indiana's second largest city, ends up.
Here's a link to photos of the trees:

The Candy Factory is one of the food concessions at the 2016 Elkhart County Fair in Goshen, Indiana. I photographed it at night in front of the Ferris Wheel.
The Candy Factory didn't get a lot of business during the several minutes I watched it, waiting for the Ferris Wheel's lights to be perfect. The worker looks bored!

This boy's inflatable assault rifle, colored like the American flag, is a popular carnival prize. I have seen them at a number of other carnivals and fairs in recent years. They come in different colors, including black (the color of the M-16 that the toy is modeled after) and camouflage. The American flag design is the most common.
The boy was watching a carny at work at the 2016 Elkhart County Fair in Goshen, Indiana. The game is called "Sire Duke's Crazy Ball".

These sunflowers grow next to a garage on the alley behind a house on the west side of Cass Street, north of Fourth Street, in the Wells Street area of Fort Wayne, Indiana. They're visible from Fourth Street, between Wells Street and Cass Street.
A goldfinch, a small yellow bird, sits on top of one of the flowers. The bird is hard to see in the web-size image, but shows up clearly in prints. Here's a crop from the image, showing the bird in detail:

Great pictures, dear Chris!
And I must confess I'm a bit envious that we don't have this lovely goldfinch-species in Europe.
(You know I love to mock you US Americans a bit, but this is serious.)
