Going through yet another mid life crisis after my birthday this week I thought I'd take a walk down memory lane with an old friend. So I nipped down to the local store and got myself some ID-11. It was just one of those things I felt like doing 🙂

So today with a roll of HP5+ shot at 200 in my hand I tried to remember what I used to do before I moved onto other soups. Looking back through some very old scribbles on data sheets I found what I was after, which is rare as I hardly ever keep more than basic notes these days.

Dilute 1+3 at 20C for 15 mins invert for first minute and then 3 inversions every minute. Hey those are really detailed for me 😀

So I soup the film thinking there's quite a few on this roll I really want and this is completely stupid to say the least playing with an old friend instead on using Rodinal which I know inside out.

Happily as the title of this thread says "Sometimes life is sweet" and the negs look beautiful. I'm going to have to find time to get into the darkroom real soon but just know from experience I'm going o be happy with the prints.

If only everything in life was as reliable as the HP5+ / ID-11 marriage 😉

Sorry for droning on .... I just felt like sharing
