I do, have a nex-7 to use with my M lenses (as well as a newly acquired zeiss Ikon for full frame!). Just waiting for the full frame nex now!

No, because that defeats the whole purpose of getting such a versatile camera. It's a point and shoot body for NEX lenses and a small digital body for M lenses and F lenses.

As others said, no. When you have Sigma 30mm 2.8, which is extraordinarily light and sharp lens for $150 it doesn't make sense using manual, heavy and expensive lenses (at least to me).
Even my nokton 35mm 1.4 when put on nex 5n feels heavy and camera deosn't feel balanced any more.

Initially yes, but then I saw all of the adapters for other glass I had.
So, I went from shooting M and LTM only -to OM, Nikon, and even Hasselblad/Zeiss.
The little OM jewels, particularly the 28, could live on it.
The last thing I bought for my Nex ... A Nex AF lens, the first.

No - one of the many things I like about the Next system is being able to use a wide range of lenses. Of course one advantage of using Leica/CV lenses is that many are small/compact (especially many of the CV Ltm lenses) Love the Next 6 for this.

Thats all I did when I had the NEX5 and 7. And now with the XPro1 (though I did finally get an AF Zoom for the Xpro1, which I have only used once). I'm all about MF lenses though. I like to keep these tired old eyes challenged 🙂

Yes, I do all the time with my Nex-7. My VC lenses are much sharper than the Sony's. Yet the Sony lenses are better for quick action. They are good lenses, it is just that the VC lenses are better, worth the little extra effort and make better use of the outstanding Sony sensor.

The Nex 5/n/r is a great digi back for all glass. The new AF adapter for Contax G glass will be a gift from the heavens if it pans out. The hawk adapter makes for a flexible platform for Leica glass. Shoot the SSC Canon FD glass for giggles. I shot my sons graduation from the back of an auditorium with a Nikkor 200mm (300mm) f4 handheld resting on my knee with the screen tilted. Stills and HD video. Under $100. So no, I wouldn't relegate it just for Leica M glass.

I have a Panasonic GF1 that I use exclusively in this way - mainly as I bought it body only. For some reason although it does not have focus peaking I prefer it and find it easier to focus manually than the NEX which I also own. Focus peaking can be a distraction as if its set to too sensitive a setting it can mislead as to what is actually in the peak focus zone.

No. Thought it would work out, but it doesn't replicate the rangefinder feel and accuracy.

Yes, at least for me.
I use my Nex 5n as a digital back for my leica lenses. I do not own any autofocus lenses (although I was tempted by low price, high quality sigma lenses) and use leica screwmount and m mount lenses with the hawk's adapter. I've gotten so used to using it like that I can shoot pretty fast with accurate focus.

Ricoh gxr w/ a12 m mount if u are going to use m or ltm lenses. Sony Nex does not have lens correction capability. If u want to do movies, Nex is better. If not, then gxr is better. Nex movie button issue was fixed in the nex6, but 5n and 7 have the problem of bad movie button location and in-advertent hit of the button. Cannot remember if they fixed it w/ sw yet. Gxr micro lenses in front of sensor work well w/ wide angle lenses. The nex7 has some issues w/ wides. The 5n is ok, cannot remember about te nex6.
I like overall iq of Picts from the gxr setup better than Nex line.

No, the NEX AF lenses are just too much fun to let gather dust..

Yes that's what I bought it for! Apart from Leica M glass the only other lens I've used on it is my CZJ Biotar.
