Sony rumored to reveal full-frame NEX-FF on September 24th

five-axis image stabilization.. zeiss ff lenses.. maybe 38mp sensor.. whaaa will this thing come with google glass too?

If all of these rumors are the truth - good night Leica you are history.
3000,-$ compared to 6000,-$ of the M240 and more flexibility - who will buy a Leica body anymore!

Who will buy Leica? The same crowd that likes their Mercedes Benz, wears Hugo Boss suits and XL Rolex;-)

I've never liked the output of sony sensors, but this is great for those who do.

I think, as previously, the rumors of Leica's demise are exaggerated. I think their cameras are crap (try a Zeiss Ikon ZM for a real rangefinder), but I understand why they cost as much as they do. They'll be fine.

I think this is exiting news. If Sony makes a FF compact like this, Fuji will follow and many others.
Will the X-Pro2 be FF, i hope so.

Don't really need a ff..but more importantly not a fan of the Sony UI and menu system.. Sensor looks ok but I think the iq of the foveon is much better.

For those who want the rf experience, this is still not going to be for them... I think price is a bit high when u compare d600 but u can't put a Leica lens on it.

Will be interesting to c how they do.

Charging this amount for a full frame compact seems to be the thing to do and Sony will be laughing all the way to the bank ... for a while. Then Fuji will bring out something similar and no one will want the Sony and before you know it full frame compacts will be old hat and we'll start searching for the next holy grail.

Hopefully for a better sensor vs because they can..... But as I said earlier D600 in my book is the yardstick on price I would use to judge price.

5 axis IBIS, if this is true, makes all the difference. If you've used an OM-D with an adapted tele lens, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Sorry. Who really cares about the "RF experience" anymore. :)

It would seem that for the majority of the RF crowd the main issue is gonna be how the device performs 'in da corners' of the frame with a legacy lens mounted. Are the micro lenses tuned for this application? If so, the price is not gonna be an issue. And if the thing sings using legacy lenses? Then open the flood gates.
Their sensor and kit lens will be tuned for their application and you'd expect IQ to be incredible.
Will it be coincidence if legacy lenses also perform well or is the legacy lens market large enough to warrant a specific engineering directive to test and design the micro lens array with consideration to this application?
Of course the primary goal is for optimal performance using Sony/Zeiss glass.

Lol this is rff.. :D u speak blasphemy :p u must be a heretic. Btw I agree w/ u.. But then again I think I am in the minority here in rff.

FF Digital RFs are quaint, for sure. :) And super pricey. Even perfect condition used M9s will cost more than this Sony, with a far inferior sensor.

I don't care how much I enjoy shooting with an RF, I'd give that up in an instant for a camera with a flip LCD and EVF and 5 axis IBIS.

There is much more selection of legacy SLR glass than RF glass, and it's far more reasonably priced.

Having owned a NEX 7, I didn't bother with RF lenses. If one is going to adapt glass, just adapt SLR glass, no worries about edge performance.
