I do not want to hurt anybody, wether Ned nor LFI or anybody else !!!!
I futher know, that I have to "shut up", because I have not one single photo posted here or in the gallery.
I like modern art in paintings and in photography. But what is wrong with me, that I delete such captures if they happen to occur to me?
Forgive me this post, please.

You delete those sort of pictures because you have a different vision and you wish your photos to be 'obvious' and people understand them. There is nothing wrong with that.
The photos of Ned are all about mood and that's why a lot of us here liked his work, even though he was a total pain in the you-know-what.
I also respectfully disagree with Fred that Ned is not welcome here, I think he fell foul of the moderators and rightly so but the rest of us with thicker skins did not really care.
I should also add that I have been a paid member of a large online Nikon community and there most of the members are also well into their 50 and yet they have always tolerated my posts which were impetuous (as someone called me here) and they have gone into great lengths to teach me and help and show me that I was wrong. I guess they forgive me my youth so to say, but in this forum there seems to be no tolerance for individuality or "impetuous youth". A lot of us who struggle with creativity are passionate and emotional people, and even though we don't really want to be mean sometimes the emotions come forward.
Sorry to have gone a little off topic and I'm sure this post will be deleted, but I have been told many times to leave this forum because I did not follow the status quo (even by Ned ironically) so I guess I might also distance myself because I don't really like authoritarianism deleted posts and artificiality.

[If you click "NB23" above the photo, there are other images of his on LFI.]
On "Ned" — I never took notice of him until i saw a Paris(?) cafe image he posted. Very nice. I'll take your words that he was a good photographer, aside from that photograph. But, too much bluster, arrogance and hot air sorta diminishes whatever 'positives' there may have been. I always appreciate a civilized community and i respect those who manage to maintain one as such. Web forums remind me of neighborhood bars.... There's always one character who shouts too much, spits when he speaks, tells off-color jokes, cusses in front of 'the ladyfolk....' And, there are always people who say, "Yeah, but he was a good dart player and he once bought me a pint."
I truly hope Ned was given sufficient warning by the moderators. I see no need to defend boorish behavior, but he should have had an opportunity to realize his 'transgressions' and make modifications.

Ned was one of my favorites, he's not here anymore? What have I missed.
I guess neglecting the internet bill is a blessing and a curse.

I met a man once...
Indeed, he was highly entertaining and the responses he got were even more entertaining.
Anywho, Carl, pay your internet bills and post some more pics, haven't seen any from you in a while.

I have switched to Brooks on all my bikes, there is really a difference, I was happy with a Sella Italia Turbo-something but the Brooks are actually way better in that the leather fits to your anatomy and puts itself at your body's temperature.
I bought them all off eBay.
Yet the fungus issue may come out as well...

I dont know where you guys are looking but in my estimation, the world is hardly in any kind of shortage when it comes to amazing photographers. Flickr has completely changed my opinion around on this subject.
what the world is in shortage of is people being nice and civil to each other.
Its sad that some of you are still carrying on about a guy who used this board to pick fights. great pictures, repugnant attitude, who cares?

If Flickr has shown me anything it's that there a thousands upon thousands of mediocre photographers who try to copy each other to the exclusion of any voice of their own.
When I find someone who stands out, I try to see more and more of their work. You guys can relax now, Ned is gone and can't hurt you anymore. His work remains and speaks for itself.
