I had the big one for DSLRs and now have the black widow for smaller cameras (sometimes the M240, sometimes the E-M1 with the 40-150).
It is a little bit awkward to walk with this thing, but if you can ignore the looks of other people, it is very useful for fast shooting. IMHO for the small and light cameras like RFs and the Fujis you don't need the spider belt, the holster and some generic belt is enough (for me).
For the Ms I prefer my own self-made leather holster, but for the E-M1 with big tele, it is very nice.

It might work, with the correct technique:

but it could attract attention.

I think I would rather just look like a tourist, or be otherwise inconspicuous.

you guys know it's not a real holster eh?
i'm thinking of one instead of carrying a bag and keeping my hands free at the same time.

Seems like a camera even the size and weight of a Leica M+lens would bounce and slap against the hip when walking especially at a brisk pace. Kind of like a hammer in a tool belt only worse.

The last sentence is, what really counts. For this purpose, that thing is brilliant. You may feel, that even the Black Widow is a little bit oversized for such a small camera - especially since you have always that knob at the bottom of the camera, that looks like a rapid winder (okay, that may actually appeal to you).
I made myself a real holster from leather, that fits my M6 and M240 bodies perfectly and lets the lens outside (much like the shoulder belt, that Leica sells with some special edition cameras, but for the waist belt). I prefer that over the spider holster for those small cameras. But for the big E-M1 with 40-150Pro, it is really great.

That is not so bad, as you think. It depends very much, where you position the holster, more at the side or more to the front.
