Hello!

I know this is impossibly random, but I need a take up spool for a Fujica ST801, or just an inoperable parts camera (more likely!) on the cheap end.

Got one??

Thanks!

Good idea, I bet the ST701 spool might work. Thanks!
The owners manuals for the 701 & 801 are both available from Mike Butkus' site. It may well be worth looking at the relevant pages to see the content so you can compare. Fujica were usually pretty good about including diagrams or photos etc. with their manuals...having said that, they are probably the same, but it never hurts to check, first.
I only have a relatively humble ST605N but feel the bright viewfinders, snappy focussing, and accurate silicon metering of the later models, which, in the case of the 605 at least, take easy to find batteries, combine to make them a good M42 option that's often under-rated. The 801 always sounded like a well-featured and worthwhile option.
Regards,
Brett

Hi Brett,
I have a ST605 that's been in the family since new and I have to agree that it's a nice camera. The plastic 55mm fujinon it came with is pretty cheap, but the camera has nice features. I especially like the 1/700 top speed. How many cameras out there have a 1/1000 that's actually 1/700 anyways!

ST801 is quite a gem, but the overall build quality seems about equal to the ST605. The SBC meter is nice though. After all these years, it's still dead accurate, sensitive, and linear.
