The satirist, whose name has in fact been Titus Petronius. But I refer to the role in the 50s movie "Quo vadis" where petronius was played by Leo Genn (who also played Starbuck in "Moby Dick") and he was one of my first movie heroes.

These are terrific. My own love of the 40mm - 55mm focal length range was the hook. The pictures are the reward.
Thanks!

You are welcome!
The joy of searching for the pictures is in some cases a nice time travel for me!

This is great - enjoying it very much thanks Zeno.
If I am not mistaken, a photograph of yours with a Rollei 35s ? (can't quite recall the model) graces the front cover of the first Rangefinder forum photo book. I've always thought that wonderful image was completely deserving of a cover, while enjoying the irony that it is scale focus!
Looking forward to the rest of the shoot.

ah, now it works. thank you!
i was especially curious about the triotar, as i found it surprisingly good in my LED. unfortunately, the lens retraction mechanism broke one day.
anyway, this series inspired me to put a cartridge of film into my rollei 35 again.

I looked at the Triotar too. The best wedding picture taken at my wedding was with that lens.

The lens count is now at 75. I was able to squeeze some more standard lenses out of the drawers. (I did´t realize that I own three versions of the Canon 50mm/1,8)
