Well, my advice is to keep at least one of your DSLRs with long lenses for the "occasional" sports pic. 😀 And do get the rangefinder for your street and portrait work!
Oh, and there are other lenses apart from Leica which are very nice: Jupiter-3, Jupiter-8, Leitz Elmar, M-Hexanon,...
So, do not spend all the money on a body and two lenses alone - you will be wanting more and more, and not only the newest Leica glass!

Haha thanks, my shots arent too good, I like making them as well as I can. I dont need the newest and best, but I think the 28 cron ASPH and the 35lux ASPH are the best optical versions of the lens. I'd like a 28/35/50 set up eventually, and I think my 50 will be an old one, regardless of whether its Cron DR or a pre-ASPH lux, that remains to be seen.Uwe_Nds said:

I've always thought of thia one as your signature style, and yeah, I think it's good. Ninteen is a style, not a measure of quality. Your style is sure to undergo changes once you are shooting with your soon to be new camera! (And you won't be 19 for long either.)

As you pondered in your original post. The m2 with a 35mm would be perfection. Matching a M3 with the 50mm and 90mm would be perfection.
The weakness of being nineteen is not having the wisdom of a 70 year old.
I would by NO means frop $8500 in the process.
$3500 would get you two bodies and three lens. Older generations vs ASPH is a silly debate unless you intend to become the next Jeff Ascough (ie... available light wedding photog extrodiaire). Even then I wouldn't invest in ASPH glass unless the business justified.
Believe it or not... the remaining $5000 invested today in a Roth IRA would turn into $500,000 when you really want to enjoy life and photography. That is the power of being NINETEEN!
The M2/M3 might still be kicking.
I haven't had the joy of shooting the M7/MP class, but I can't imagine them being that much better than the M3/M2 lineup. The M6 body didn't match up to the M3 IMHO.
It's a personal preference. I've always preferred matching period M3 bodies to a Summicron or Lux with a Sekonic lightmeter. Just has always been faster than metered bodies. No distractions and it has it own special look.

Its all so confusing. The M bodies minus the 5 are all pretty much the same. The M6 is only $900, so I may buy that, and an M2. Put a 35/50 on the M6 and a 28 on the M2.

I'd get a pre-owned black lacquer MP + a black lacquer lux 50 and be done, enjoying how they age along with me. And yeah, max out your Roth, even though we'll all prolly have gills before you can withdraw.

you can get an Voigtlander R4M and CV 35 or 28.. simple, cheaper on your terms and still keep the D200 for while .....
I've own and used all my Fx's and D's.. and I still like and use them even with the S's all day long.

Keep the DSLR stuff, it makes money for you. Start with a Bessa L and a CV 25/4 kit for street photography. As you make more money, move up to a Leica and other glass.
