My out of town guests were visiting a week ago. We took a walk around Santa Clara and visited the Carmelite Monastery. It's a lovely place, with a beautiful chapel and a small olive grove. The light shining on this statue of the madonna and christ child was particularly beautiful.
Thanks for looking! comments always appreciated.

The light for sure was beautiful. And for sure you are able to make a good use of the available light. Great photos, great photographer. And the camera? Actually I'm confused about cameras

Thanks!
The E-M1 is the camera I've been hoping for. It is superb. Just a couple more sessions and it will achieve for me the total invisibility that I prize most in a camera. It just works, responsively and reliably, and stays out of the way. It feels right. The controls are highly configurable and are in all the right places. The image quality is top notch. The viewfinder is super, very fast to focus manually or with AF.
A terrific piece. I feel like I can get on with making photographs now and just forget about equipment.

One year ago more or less I was not able to decide between OMD or XE 1 than I decided to stay with my german X1 and film. Now I'll have to decide : EX2, EM1, Sony (two options!), not to forget the rumored Nikon...

PS: meantime I just bought a refurbished Polaroid SX-70

Ah. Deciding which camera to get involved with is a difficult game. No one else can really answer it for you.
For some years I kept it simple and worked a) only digital, and b) one system ... that is, either a pentax, or an olympus, or whatever. Once I closed the business, however, I decided to play a bit and indulge some of my fantasies of all the wonderful film cameras I'd always wanted.
It's been fun, but with the re-discovery of Polaroid and then the new E-M1, things are becoming simpler again. I suspect that within a short time, my digital cameras will be the E-M1, the E-1, and the M9. They do what I want, and will be the bulk of my shooting.
Film cameras will stay much more diverse, as I use them less and enjoy the very different/specific characters of each type and format.
The Polaroids are somehow very inspirational to me. There's something about the qualities of the photos these cameras produce that just tickles the right bits in my head.
