I've had this camera since new - I've never used the thumbwheel (around the Menu/OK button) much, but it now seems very hard to turn with one finger (it's easy to turn if held between the thumb and forefinger like a knob, but the slightest pressure on it makes it resistant. Normal? Old age?

Thanks,
Dante

Almost want to say you are lucky :p
The wheel on mine is quite sensitive. It's fine but, my sausage fingers would be happy with more resistance !

Thanks for the responses - on yours, does the hub of the thumb wheel (around the ok button, with the dashes a NSEW) rotate a little bit with thumb wheel movement? The binding is only sporadic now, but I did notice that part moving a little bit and wondered whether that was the cause. The good news is that it is a relatively simple assembly, not hard to replace.

Thx

X100 with serial Number 15xxx... with the stiffer Exposure Compensation dial: Yes the wheel occasionally moves the intermediate ring with the NSEW marks, especially if moved slowly for one click. Rapid movement through a lot of pictures/menu items on mine sees no movement of that intermediate ring. Truth is I couldn't remember that wheel turning at all until I checked just now.
