It's been a long while since I posted pictures in this forum 🙂

Although I am letting go of my Olympus RF collection, I will hang on to two of them.

One of which is the 35 ECR. Revived from the dead by our own Clint (clintock) who have generously donated parts from his own ECR. What a guy.

Out of nostalgia, I decided to take it out for a spin again last week, and I am reminded again about how cool this camera is as a walk-around shooter, here's some of the frames in the roll:

"kiev and the clovers"

"school bus convoy"

"chillin' at the pool"

Film is an extremely expired Ilford XP2.

Nice shots ... the tones in the first two pics are totally different to the last. More info here please! 😛

Alright, one more here:

Thanks all for commenting.

Mick: The ECR is really a hybrid between 35 RC and XA2. It has a very nice RF (crisp focus), but it wants to take control (auto-everything like XA2).

Keith: the digital toning is done simply by selecting a hue (yellow/brownish) and setting the saturation level to what I like. But for the 3rd picture, "chilling at the pool" doesn't seem to jive with brown warmtone toning, so I let the scanner pick up the purplish hue from the expired Ilford and simply tone it down to where I like it.

RFOBD: the 35 RC (aka. Ikkyu-san) will be in a display case somewhere along with its trinket friends 😉 . I don't think I'll ever be able to let it go since it has so many miles of photographic history attached to it... that is if it ever get back to Texas... in one piece 😱

Nice series, Will! Like the tint in the first two and the last, has that old school
look. Yes, the third one looks like a different roll entirely...(?) As stated, nice
crisp shots!

Thanks for sharing,
Bill
