This is so true. This is probably the best thread in RFF. If you have what it takes to view this thread from beginning to end you will see the most extraordinary photographs you have ever seen. There is no photo book that can compare to this thread.

elder people who lived back in USSR are used to it: just shut your mouth and do your job. say nothing wrong on public, do not see or say or like anything wrong on internet if it might get noticed by authorities and you're going to be fine.

younger people either keep quiet or leave the country. as this girl w/o glasses on my photo: her name is Olga and she is in Poland now if I'm not mistaken (we were connected on facebook, but I 'lost' her after deleting my FB account (to delete footprints of my 'anti-govt' behavior)
