brain drain...
I hate regular straps. I hate how the camera bounces around against your body, and swings off to the side when you turn or bend. I like the Y-strap much better than regular straps, but it still bounces and swings a bit too much when I hang the camera at hip level. I find the Y-strap much steadier for me when I wear the camera higher (above the hip), but then there is not enough play in the strap to easily bring the camera up to my eye.
I own the streetshooter, and I use it a lot. It keeps the camera right against my body, and I can move around freely without the camera swinging and bouncing. It does tend to tug at your pants, so a good sturdy belt is recommended. I wear it just off the side toward the front, so my arms can swing normally without bumping the camera. I would avoid longer, heavier lenses, but something like a 28/3.5 works perfectly. The case holds the camera firmly - it will not fall out easily on its own. Its not difficult to pop the camera in and out quickly, but it does require a two handed motion.
It always amazes me how people can loath something that they have never tried - if you tried it and hated it, then that's fine, but sheesh, give the inventor a break. It actually works quite well, and he's just trying to make a living like the rest of us 😀.
