Hello everybody!
My name is Manuel, from Argentina.
I recently became a happy Yashica Electro GT owner, by founding the camera on my house basement. It used to belong to my dad, who bought it when he was 22 years old and had to attend a 6 month trainee on marine, on board of the ARA Fragata Libertad.
So, when I found it, I started looking for info on the internet, and I managed to clean the viewfinder, replace the light seals, I made an adapted battery and even cleaned some fungus on the lens. No POD service necesary, it has a big orange plastic square on it.
I`ve shot 4 rolls until now, when I found out that the focus ring is freezed, stuck.
I couldn`t find any info rather than "drop really tiny amount of lighter fluid" or "give the ring some heat"
I made both things, but the solution lasted 2 days.
Any advice on how to re-lubricate? or should I get another camera and use this one as decoration?
Thanks everyone!

Hello and welcome to the forum, ManuOManny.
Sorry I can't be of any help as anything I try to fix usually ends up more broken than before.
I'm sure someone will come along and help quite soon.

Thank you so much Russ. I imagined it could be this bad but I was hoping to be able to fix it, because the camera has a sentimental value to me.
I found a GSN in great shape (it seems that it has never been used) and not expensive, so if everything is ok, I would only have to change the light seals only and start shooting
