Stuck shutter

My new to me, Cononet 28 will not fire its shutter. Meter works/ trigger sounds/ blades don't move. Am I doing something wrong?😕

4 days and no reply! Had a C-28 here for a project camera and recal. to silver cells. Trying to recall the setup of the trigger. On the assumption that the blades aren't stuck fast with oil I wonder if a cable release makes it work? Maybe the button isn't going that tiny bit more to set off the shutter? Could be a matter of just that little bit more advance of the button mechanism? Had that with several other cameras. Lift the lid and check out the shutter release bits.

If the shutter sounds like it's firing, but blades don't move, there's a very good chance that shutter blades have a tiny bit of oil on them, causing them to stick together. John
