On the prowl? Got GAS, huh?
Glad we could be of service. Whatever you do, get this gorgeous lens and use it, really use it in all types of situations with both black and white and color film. You will find the lens has a lot of character that can be used to your advantage.
I tried many times going back to a DSLR but found that I missed the creativity factor with the Summarit and the M3. I could spend 50 years trying to master this lens but over the last 3+ years, I have been quite happy with the results and even the surprises.
It is quite special...

Cheers Dave,
I have just upgraded from the M8 to M9 so it is not so much GAS as reorganization this time. At least that is what I am telling myself
Seriously though, this lens does look to have terrific character with both colour and monochrome. I am waiting for a biogon 28mm to arrive in the mail and have a hazy old collapsible summicron that the Summarit should get on quite well with. I have been on the look out for an affordable fast 50 and had just about decided on one of the canons but I think I am now hooked on the Summarit.

Here's the first batch from my newly acquired Summarit from a very nice guy in HK, the lens is almost in perfect condition and came with front a rear caps and even a silver Marumi UV filter, I must say for certain type of shots, this lens is fantastic, my wife loves it because it takes such nice portraits and doesn't show her wrinkles that much :-D

I see that you are a fan of the 5cm Summarit. Why?
